THAYER
Mr. Nick Suediekis of Thayer is spending a few days in Hammond. Mr. and Mrs. Seth Granger and daughter of Hammond were weekend ,yisitor& with Mr. and Mrs. Neslon and family. Mr. Jerry Surprise of Chicago was a week-end visitor with Mr. and Mrs. Roadruck and family. Mr; ’Silvester Drinski of Lowell was a visitor at the home of Miss Mae Cyphers of Thayer. Mr. David of Roselawn was a visitor with Mr. and Mrs. Tom David and family of Thayer. Mr. \\ illiam Bartz of Lowell visited his farm near Thayer. Mr. Fred Stump of Thayer and nephew, Clifford, were in Lowell on business Saturday night.
It has been reported, unofficially, that Thayer’s main oil well, the one pn Mr. Boyle’s land, is nearing completion. This well which has been nearing completion for the last two months, is said to have reached the depth of about eleven hundred and twenty-five feet. The first well drilled in this vicinity, the one on Mr. Yacuk’s land, has been laying idle for some time. Henry Nelson, of Thayer, was accidently hit by a few stray shot while hunting last Saturday.
