Too much bluing in your rinsing water will give your clothes a dingy, gray color. Measure bluing carefully and mix it with a little water and then add it to the tub of water in which will be placed. i * * * Egg stains on table linen should be soaked in cold water before laundering because hot Water sets such stains. * * * Try combining clams and cooked corn. The flavors go especially well together and are delicious made into soups, stew’s, croquettes or cakes (mixed with mashed potatoes and deep fried). * « * The household washing machine is ideal for dyeing curtains, draperies and other articles made of fabrics and can be colored with tints-that do not require boiling. You can let the washer run until the articles are sufficiently and evenly colored. ♦ * * The next time you make a pumpkin pie, when pie is nearly done, cover top with marshmallows and return to the oven fo.r 10 minutes.
