Mr. and Mrs. William Small of Highland, Ind. were Sunday evening visitors at the Stump home. Mr. James Davis of Roselawn was a Sunday evening visitor on Marjorie Shinkle. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Surprise of Chicago were visitors in Thayer Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Roadruck and family of Thayer were visitors on Mr. Roadruck’s parents Saturday. Mr. William Mulford of Chicago was a visitor at Thayer Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Tom David and children visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Wilson and family of Ade Sunday. Mr. J. A. Wilson and son Ernest and daughter Fern of Ade spent Saturday A.M. with Mrs. Ivy David and family. Miss Freda Jo Garriot, and Toots Hermanson of Rensselaer spent the week-end with Miss Vivian Robbins and parents. Mr. Nick Sudiekis and Miss Leah Shinkle were married Saturday night at Lowell, by Rev. Worley. Mrs. Sudiekis of Thayer spent Sunday in Chicago visiting her new granddaughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Standoski. Mr. and Mrs. Basil Shinkle and daughters of Hammond spent Wed. with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shinkle. M rs. H. Shafer returned home Tuesday evening after spending a several-day visit with her daughter.

Robert Evers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Evers, has enlisted in the U. S. Army and is now stationed in North Carolina. Eugene Petz of Columbuus, Ohio, spent the week-end with his family near Fair Oaks. Este Nine entertained the bridge club on Tuesday evening. Mrs. Fern Bauman was in Lafayette on Wednesday afternoon..
