HEALTH FACTS FOR HOOSIER FOLK
Catching Cold You are quite right. The way you get cold is by “catching it’’. You do not always catch it from sitting by an open wijndow in church or from getting wet feet. More often it is because„ t some coughing, sneezing individual who has a nice ripe cold ready for disribution breathes, amiably upon you and generously sheds several millions of “cold bacteria’’ in the process. This is the most common and the deadliest way of “catching cold’’. Shun the careless cougher, sneezer and spitter as you would if he were broken out with smallpox. * If you take cold, it is advised that you stay at home for a day or two until you are free from fever. Rest as completly as possible. Do not shut the fresh air out of your room but warm it up. Get plenty of sleep. Eat nourishing food but partake lightly. Unload the bowels. Keep warm. That is the road to recovery. Ifyou don’t respond, see a doctor without delay.
