Re-elect Howard R. Hiestand to Office In State Legislature

Re-electicn of Howard R. Hiestand as Joint Representative of Jasper and Newton Counties assures this region of intelligent and effective representation at Indianapolis for the next two years. Qualified experience, and understanding and sympathetic with the needs of his constituents Representative Hiestand is assured of a position of leadersip in the lower house of the Assembly. Although a staunch Republican, Mr. Hiestand by his word and by his action in previous sessions, has shown that he will not use. the high office with which he has been entrusted purely for political reasons. He asks to be returned to represent all of the people of his* District, and to use his best efforts to obtain for them legislative action favorable to their interests. During his previous period of service his record is clean and open. At no time has he shirked or avoided his responsibility. His position has been made clear on every major piece of legislation brought before the House, and whether he approved or opposed the legislation, his honesty and integrity of purpose was never questioned. It is vitally important to Jasper and Newton Counties that Howard R. Hiestand be returned to continue the splendid service he has been rendering continuously since his first term in office. —Adv.
