Experienced Wheatfield Team Wins By 12 Point Margin Over DeMotte Paced by Peregrine, backfield ace, the Wheafield High School six-man football team defeated the local team by a 12 point margin, 36 to 24. Peregrine scored 3 of his team’s touchdowns. Facing their more experienced foes for the second time in 3 weeks, the DHS squad put up a better show than on their initial encounter. The first game between these rivals was on Friday the 13th of Sept, and ended in a 25-0 victory for Wheatfield. The improved DeMotte grid aggregation, while allowing Wheatfield one more touchdown in the second game, crossed the pay line four times. The visitors made three kicks for extra points after touchdowns, netting six extra points. The local squad was a little weak in this extra point department, failing to convert any of their four tries. Fred Zeck, hig fullback for the Red and White, suffered severely bruised adominal muscles in the first few seconds of the last quarter and will probably be forced to. remain on the side lines Saturday p.m. when the Fair Oaks team invades the local camp.
