PURDUE SOILS AND CROPS FARM TOUR JUNE 21 st

The annual Purdue Soils and Crop# Farm Field Day will be on Purdue Agricultural College for the University Agronomy Department. Results of new varieties of oais, wheat, and other small grain crops along with crops yields of some 20 rotations in use will be availible to see first handed on the various plots. The Soils and Crops 'Farm is located at the east side of Lafayette on State Road 26. A large number of Jasper County farmers have attended these programs in past years and another large group is expected this year. These new adapted varjetiete of oats such as Hancock, Marion and Boone are being grown on the Purdue Farm this year and are showing up very promising under Indiana conditions. After the tour of the farm in the morning, a trip through several of the various departments on the campus' of Purdue will be taken with members of the various departments explaining the different facilities of June 21st, according to the Purdue use of farmers in Indiana. All people planning to make this tour meet on the east side of the Court House at 8:30 A. M. or if you prefer to go direct to the farm meet the group in front of Agriculture Hall at 1:15 P. M.
