The DeMotte baseball team registered its first win of the season Sunday defeating the strong Black Oak mnt', 3 to 2. The game was played on the Black Oak diamond. Slocum did the hurling for the local aggregation and allowed but tour hits, while striking out 10 opposing batters. DEMOTTE 4-H CLUBS HOLD WIENER ROAST The iigys and girls of the DeMotte 4-H chibs held a wiener roast on Monday, June 3. After gathering at the sehoolhouse, the fifty members were taken by cars and a truck to the Martin Hoffman farm where a large bonfire was built. While waitng for a bed of coals and darkness, games were played. Then after eatng about 20 lbs. of wieners and 300 hot dog buns and . 8 lbs of marshmallows, they road back to town, waking up the countryside with songs and noise, _
