Mr. and Mrs. Herb Nine spent Sunday Indianapolis visiting friends. Mrs. Grace Greenwald attended a bridal shower in Lowell last Friday night in honor of Mias Dorothy Kruger v/ho is to be married to Edward Greenwald on June 23. Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Knynsberg, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tanis and Cornells Tanis of Lansing, 111. visited Mrs. Gerbrand Kooy at the Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer Sunday afternoon. Miss Dorothy Hunter celebrated h?r seventh birthday Monday, June 0, with a party for her friends. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Curtin visited in Motion, Ind., Sunday. Mrs. Dr. Duvall returned Sunday from a weeks visit in Knightstown, Indiana. Mary Ellen and Margaret Ann Curtin went to LaCross Tuesday, where they will dance for the Women’s Club. Mrs. Herb Nine, Mrs. Lorenz Bauman, Mrs. Howard Evans, Mrs. Carrie Konovsky, Miss Helen Curtin, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Curtin drove to Detroit Wednesday and brought back some new Plymouth cars. The Bridge Club met last Thursday evening with Mrs. Grace Cheev er. They met again Tuesday night with M rs. Wm. Ely. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Walder and two children, Donald and Caroline, of Evergreen Park, 111., spent the \v fj ek « nd with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sargent and family. Miss LaVerne Moor, teacher in the Public Schools of Elmhurst, 111., is it home with her parents, R v. and Mrs. Moor. There will be no preaching services at the Methodist Church on Sunday morning, June 16. The Sunday School will meet .t 10:30 A. M under the direction of the Supt. Mrs. E«|m Bauman. All are i ivited to this session. Tf»*A.uni.i Banquet will be held next Tuesday, June IF, in the High School Gym. Each member may bring a guest. Walter Roorda, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Roorda is home from the hospital where he recently underwent a serious operation. Mr. and Mrs. Baas of Evergreen Park, 111. spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Otto DeYoung, Sr.

Lageveen and family motored to Terre Haute Monday taking their daughter Betty back to college where she will attend the summer term. Mrs. Lizzie Tanner and sor Daniel spent Sunday in Highland with Mr. and Mrs. Farl Worley. During the afternoon they al; went to the park at Michigan City. Miss Ardis Carrol Tanner of Rens--1 a. selaer spent last week visiting her grandmother, Mrs. larr.e Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Eal Struble, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Smith and dapghter Joan, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ahrens and son of Griffith, and Mrs. Edna Frame visited over the week end at Brookfield Zoo, in Illinois.
