Mrs. Lester Burger was relief operator at the DeMotte elephone exchange last Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Alfred Korth entertained the Farm Bureau members at her home on Oct. 30th. The Intermediate room, taught by Gay Makeever, enjoyed a Halloween party Oct. 31. Miss Makeever served the pupils a light lunch consisting of cak \ cookies, candy and marshmellows. Little Mary Lou Burton won first prize for her costume; she wore a military costume. Clifford Shelhart and Enos Smith were in Chicago Sunday. Several of the Roselawn young people attended the Mt. Ayr-Fair Oaks basketball game Wednesday night of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pagels are moving to Burnham, 111., this week. Donald Bruechett and Mary Shelhar‘ were married Monday, Oct. 30.
