On Friday afternoon, Oct. 20, local football enthusiasts will have their chance to witness the new game that is sweeping the country, six-man foot ball, when Kentland high school comes to Wheatfield for the first game of this sport in Ja.-per county. Wheatfield goes to Morocco this Friday to open their season. Six-man football has been worked out for the smaller schools, whose attendance and financial difficulties have kept them from engaging in regular 11-man football. The new game is faster than the 11-man game, with more running, passing and scoring as the u-ual thing.
