OPPORTUNITY FOR ENLISTMENT IN U. S. MARINES

A communication from the Central Recruiting Division of the U. S. Marine Corps, Chicago, has been received by this newspaper, advising that the Marine Corps has been authorized to recruit two thousand physically fit young Americans who are between the ages of 18 and 30 and who can meet the physical and mental requirements for service in this active part of the armed forces of the United States. Marines have opportunities to serve in China, the Philippines, Hawaiian Islands, Panama, Cuba and on board battleships of the U. S. fleet and at shore stations in many part- of the United States. Recruits enlisted in the Chicago district are sent to southern California for training. The Marine Corp- not only offers a lifelong career for those who are interested in the military life, but also many-educational facilities are : able to young, men who, during a 1year enlistment, wish to continue their education or learn a trade.
