OBITUARY OF ROBERT VANDER PLOEG

Mr. Robert VanderPloeg was born in Zieldyk, Gronigen, Holland* on Scjpt. 23, 1856. He migrated to the United States in 1&80. On June 9, 1883, he was united to Bertha Doodens in the bonds of holy matrimony. God lessed this union with >ix children, all of whom are living but one,

the late John VanderPloeg, who lost his life at sea during the World War. Left to mourn his death are five children, two brothers, three sisters, 36 grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren. On the day of his passing, Sept. 30, 1939, Robert VanderPloeg was ! 83 years and one week old.
