THAYER

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wiseman and son Jay, and Miss Henrietta Mellon attended the Virgie Home Coming on Sunday afternoon. Rev. Worley preached the sermon. The church had been newly decorated. Everyone greatly enjoyed the day. Be sure to come to the firth monthly supper at the Annex on Thursday, Sept. 28. Chop suey, chili con carni, salads and desserts. Miss Harriet Mellon spent a day in Chicago last week. We are all thankful to Mr. Tom Spitler for painting of the Annex. Mr. and Mrs. James Dickey and children ate dinner with Mr. and Mrs. C. Holladay and family Sunday. Seth E. Granger, wife and daughter, of Chicago, were week-end visitors at their summer cottage here. Ella Freel is in Chicago staying with her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Scott, of Morocco, spent a day here with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garriott and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Broun and childen, of Morocco, called at the Frank Garriott home Sunday p.m. The Thayer school is putting out a paper callled Thayer Events.
