Mr. and Mrs. Homer Tueslay and daughter, of Mishawaka, spent last week-end here with Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Bauman. I)r. and Mrs. Leeson had as guests Sunday, Mr., and Mrs. E. E. Leeson and son Edward, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Graham of Chicago. Visiting his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. E. E. Leeson, here this week, young Ernest Leßoy Schofield, of Aurora, 111., is making final plans to enter the Naval Military Academy in New Jersey, next week. Sunday D*j. and Mrs. Leeson will dive Ernest Lp Roy to his home for a farewell diliner in his honor at his home there. Dr. and Mrs. Leeson will return here Monday. M rs. C. M. Holiday was hostess to her bridge club last Friday morning. Herman Osting and son Richard will spend Thursday and Friday at the state fair at Indianapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Hall and family, of Akron, spent last week-end with Mr, and Mrs. Frank Frame and Mr. and Mrs. Adam Smith. Mrs. Lulu Luce and son, Howardj of Chicago, spent last week-end here with Mrs. Mary Spencer, and son, Harold. Mr. and Mrs. John Daugherty, of Cincinnati, Ohio, were here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Cy Rowen last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Nyal Royce, Missj Mildred J. L. and J. W. Jared of Ro*edale, and Miss Bettye Foster of Valparaiso, spent last week-end on! a motor trip to Niagara Falls, and into Canada. Those attending a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hunter Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Hunter and daughter Janet of Milwaukee, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hunter and children, Dorothy, Jimmie and Bobby, and Glen and Dale Hunter of Whiting. The Cy Rowen family is moving this week to the Chupp property, recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van Wienen, who moved to their new home. Miss Mary Jean Bernard and Max Bahler will enter Purdue University at Lafayette Friday, for the fall and winter term. Billy Bahler went to Rensselaer Monday where he entered St. Joseph College. Billy is trying out for the football team and they have two weeks training before studies are commenced.
