HERE AFTER WESTERN TRIP
Publisher J. P. Cox, of Owcnsville, Ind., father of J. Barton Cox, arrived here Monday for a visit with his son and family. He has been gone from his borne on a trip that took him to San Francisco to the World’s Fair at Treasure Island. Going north from there, he stayed about two weeks at Snohomish, Wash., with his daughter and family. Snohomish is a city of about 3,000 population and his son-in-law, Emmett Smith has been principal of the school there for fifteen years. W’hile there he went with a party on a fishing trip in Puget Sound, and reports a few small salmon were caught. Starting back east he stopped for a few days visit at Valley City, North Dakota, with a nephew there, Dr. James E. Cox, president of State Normal college located at that place, a college with about 1500 students enrolled. He will go to his home in the southern part of the state this week-end.
