DEMOTTE MERCHANTS PRE SENT ‘HILLBILLY WEDDING’ Advance reserved seat sale for the DeMotte Business Men’s Association show, “A Hillbilly Wedding:,” indicates a full house for the opening: performance this Thursday evening:. The curtain is all set to rise on the most hilarious program ever staged locally. New specialty acts have been added. In another column we give the cast of characters and a program of specialty acts to be seen and heard. This show is strictly an allhome town entertainment, with numbers between acts from Hebron, Lowell, Shelby, Wheatfield, etc. Music, good clean fun. and entertainment is assured the audience. A loud-speak-er unit will be used. We peaked in at rehearsal last night and lo and behold there was Art Lageveen and Ralph DeKock both trying to help each other into some sort of a fluffy-duffy something or other. Over on the other side of the stage was Alex Jensen, who looked like he was rehearsing a toe dance and then we discovered that he was just trying to get used to his French high heels. Bill Bah ler was trying to hook up the evening gown of what appeared from the rear to be a stunning blonde, but when we looked closer we found it to be none other than Attorney John Hopkins. There were about fifty other* there as well but you will see them at the show. Read over the program—-take a look at the cast and the speciality numbers—then rush down and buy your reserved seats. There will be plenty of general admission seats. . The show starts Thursday night, at 8 P.M. On Friday night the second performance will be given. The show is sponsored by the DeMotte Business Men’s Association, Ralph DeKock, president, Wm. Swart, vicepresident, and Otto DeYoung, secretary, and money raised will be used in equipping a lighted ball field and other playground equipment.
