F. M. Hart, Sr., has been confined to his home with a heart ailment. Mrs. Jacoba Lageveen is improving now, after an illness. She has been at the home of her son, Arthur. Mrs. Neil Westeroff was returned to her home here Monday from the hospital in Nebraska, following an operation' for appendicitis. She is improving nicely.

Miss Rose Boersma, clerk at the DeKock store, spent her vacation last week in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moolenaar &pent last weekend in Wisconsin, visiting places of interest. Dr. and Mrs. # Alex Oraham, of Chicago, spent last week-and with Rev. and Mrs. S. Yonan. Miss Jennie Woudema is. home from South Bend visiting her parentMr and Mrs. John Woudema.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Itcckcr accompanied Rev. and Mrs Van Scbowen on their vacation trip to Wisconsin. They visited the f>. i and also the famed Wisconsin fishing. Mrs. Carrie Konojvsky and sor George left Wednesday for Michigan City, where they were Joined by ‘ Frances Ko ta and iiau. htor. I ; party then started to St. Petersburg, Fla., for several we*k> ‘ay. O. P, Rowen is taking-a forced vacation due to an infected hand.
