PHILLIPS S. WOOD FILES FOR AUDITOR

Phillips S. Wood, of Rensselaer, Monday threw his hat into Jasper county politics by filing for the Republican nomination for office of county auditor. Mr. Wood was sent to this county a year and a half ago from Chicago by the Western Investment Trust to take charge of the Lawler land interests. Mr. Wood will make the race against Frank M. Hart, Jr., who is serving his first term anti who has filed his intentions for running for the noniination a second term. Other filings are: County Councilman, Ist district— George Marr (Rep.).
