LETTER TO THE EDITOR

“Wanted: A strong shouldered man to be our next President in 1940; he must be capable of carrying all the billions of dollars of debts Uncle Sam now has on his shoulders; must also be a good economist who knows how to reduce our debts and not make them larger; furthermore, must also be a good weather prophet and have the power for control of the weather for the different parts of the U. S., which will save crop control work and do away with the crop control committees; for of late years we have had so much of (F. D. R.) Floods which cause millions of dollars of damage, also Droughts in the places where rain would be a great help, and too much Rain in places where it is not needed.—Jim.”
