Harold Hockney is confined with a case of mumps. Bill DeFries returned Sunday from Florida Southern College, at Lakeland. Mrs. Chas. Shinkle is on. the sick list this week. Mrs. Lutecia Granger went for a week’s visit to Hammond. Mr. and Mrs. Black returned home from Florida last week. Mr. and Mrs. Cable and daughter were visiting in Thayer last weekend. Wanda Ray Hickson is ill with the mumps. On Wednesday, Mar. 30, the Lincoln Conservation Club held a meeting at the White Front in Thayer. Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month. Albert Roadruck is home again for a few days after a hectic week on the Bell Line truck transport. He was in the tornado stricken country where the storm struck. Essie Nelson has had a birthday party March 17th. Those who came were Mrs. Ella Freel of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Coble and daughter, Janet Faye, of Chicago; Mrs. Myrtle DeFries and Chris Carlson of Hammond, and Mr. and Mrs. Seth Granger and daughter of Chicago.
