JOSEPHINE KOSTER MARRIED AT CHURCH WEDDING

Friday, Dec. 24, at 7:30 P.M., a very pretty wedding was solemnized at the American Reformed Church when Miss Josephine Koster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Koster, and Gerben Wagner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wagner, of South Holland, Mich., were united in marriage. The bride entered the church on the»-arm of her father and was met at the altar by the groom and the Rev. Theodore Schaap, who performed the double ring ceremony. The bride wore a lovely white satin floor length gown and a veil held in place with .a wreath of orange blossoms. Sheitvore silver slippers and carried a bouquet of white roses. The maid of honor was Miss Fannib Wagner, sister of the groom, wearing a delph blue taffetta floor length d ess and carrying pink sweet peas. A wreath of orange blossoms held her hair in place. The bridesmaid was Alice Tapp, u* South Ilouaad, arffi beautifully attired as maid of honor in blue taffetta and carried sweet peas. The best man was Harry Postma. and Art VanderVliet was attendant, both of South Holland. John M. Koster and Theodore Toppin were ushers The men all wore white carnations in their coat lapels. Mrs. Theodore Schaap played the organ for the march and (luring the, ceremony. The prelude was “Moonlight and Roses,” the “Lohengrin’s Wedding March,” and during the ceremony she played softly, “I Love You Truly.” Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Koster home for the immediate family. The dining room and living room was decorated with pink, blue and white crepe paper and the bride’s table held a large decorated wedding cake and burning tapers. Twenty-eight guests were seated for the two-course supper that was served by Mrs. John Koster, assisted by Miss Anna Toppin and Misb °Angeline Akkersma, who, dressed in blue and white aprons and caps, served the plates. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. John Wagner, Mrs Gerben Wagner, Sr.. John Koster, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Rich Vanderbilt, all of Soutff Holland. After March Ist the couple will reside on a farm near South Holland. At the present they are staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Koster.
