ROBBERS’ CAR FOUND SOUTHWEST OF TOWN

Deputy Louis Walstra and a state policeman nicked up the trail of the bandit car used in the bank held up, and discovered the car on the Dick Peterson road, 1-2 mile south of Nd; 10. Other state policemen and a squad under Sheriff Vern Michel were* scouring other roads all over this section. The , car used in the holdup was one stolen from Lofetta Kavanaugh, of Mason, 111., a week ago. Inquiry later developed that at 7 A.M. on the morning of the holdup the black Oldsmobile used in the robbery and a bronze Ford .coupe were seen close together on the Peterson road. It is: likely, that the Ford car was the one used by the bandits in making their escape. Police nets were thrown across numerous roads and all motorists, stopped and cars searched but no arrests were made.
