INDEPENDENTS DEFEAT LOWELL 55-37 HERE

In a wild scoring spree, the De Motte Flying Red Horses took into camp the Lowell independent basketball team 55 to 37, here last Wednesday night. Bauman led in scoring with 9 field goals and 2 fouls; Bahler was close behind with 9 field baskets. Mosier hit the loop for 5 baskets, and Walstra, Bunning and Groet one each. Other DeMotte players were L. DeKoker, F. DeKoker, Tysen and Conrad. A good passing attack by the locals enabled them to connect for many short shots. An invitational tourney is being planned to take place probably the latter part of January or first part of February. Details will be published aa soon as possible.
