LeRoy and Albert Davis are here at the home of their grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Davis to spend their usual vacation. Their home is at Kentland. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wickline have their new home almost ready for occupancy. Quite a nice addition to Tefft. Jack is employed by the Game Reserve. Mrs. William Kerr and daughter of Clinton are here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Duggleby, her aunt and uncle and cousins of Davenport, Iowa, drove by her home on their way here and brought her along. A shower was held at the Hall Tambrin at the river Thursday afternoon for Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williams, formerly of here, but now at home in Rensselaer. The Club members and several invited guests were present. Many beautiful gifts were received. Refreshments were served and everyone reported a good time. Chas. Jasperson hauled corn for Edward Sands Tuesday. Mrs. Addie Lyons of Gary visited her sister, Mrs. Oscar Allmeier, and brother Edward Sands and families. Miss Ethel Cody of Kouts is being employed by Ed. Sands.

Roy Keene is working at the Jasperson home this week Mrs. Lulu Hartford is visiting in South Bend. We wonder who? Maude Alice Sands entertained eighteen of her friends at her birthday party Friday afternoon. Those present were Paul and Vermeda Davis, Madora, Gilbert and Mildred Martin, Lois, Iolene, Mary Joyce and Jerry Kingman, Pearl and Ruth Anderson, Allene Holland, Lydia Ann and Junior Alhmeier, Ethel Coty, Robert and Mary Jane and Maude Sands. Dainty refreshments were served after which the kiddies

all returned to their homes wishing Maude Alice many happy returns of the day. Mr. and Mrs. George Hiel called at the home of Chas. Jasperson Monday. Mrs. James Stonebraker of Logansport spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Belle Reddin. Those who visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. White were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kramer and two children, Verna Kulton, Myrtle White of Chicago and Mrs. Earl Albinan, daughter of Greenup.

Martins are now in their new home “Porter Camp” at Dunns Bridge. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Martin and family entertained quite a family at their new home Sunday. Those present, were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sands and kiddies, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jasperson, Mr. and Mrs: Lloyd Asher and kiddies, Love Asher of Hebron and Mrs. Myrtle Coty and daughters of Kouts. Oh the fried chicken and lemon pie and the beer and ice cream finished it off. Say does Earl Martin like chicken livers, just ask Hetty.
