DeMOTTE WINS TWO GAMES
DeMotte won both ball games Sunday by a big score. The DeMotte A. C.’s won from Gary Police 8 to 3. Our new pitcher, “strike out Hawley” lived up to his name striking out 18 policemen. The kid team took Crown Point’s scalp also by a large score. For DeMotte Bahler struck out 4 in 5 innings and Bricker struck out 7 in 3 innings. The Crown Point pitcher struck out 9, but had poor support. The last game went part of an inning without an umpire. The old veteran forgot to call time and was in an argument with some side line umpires when he was finally missed by our catcher and brought back into the game.
