STATE LETS THE CONTRACT FOR KANKAKEE BRIDGE.

The contract for the construction of a bridge over the Kankakee river on Road 41 at Lake Village--the letting of which was advertised some weeks ago--was awarded by the state highway commission, last Friday, to the firm of Haines & Haines, of Dowagiac, Mich.; on a bid of $43,685.50.
