NEW JASPER COUNTY SUPT. OF SCHOOLS
Ira Huntington, was selected as the new county superintendent of schools by the Jasper county board of education Monday, the new superintendent being selected on the first ballot. Although there were six candidates for the place only three figured in the balloting. Seven votes were cast for the successful candidate, four for Harry Q. Holt, formerly of Remington, and one for William May, of Kniman. One ballot was cast blank. Morgan L. Sterrett, the retiring superintendent, in a previous incandidate, and his name was not presented. The six candidates were: Mr. Huntington, Harry Q. Holt, Principal Wright of the Remington schools, L. O. Rund, formerly principal of DeMotte schools, Principal Benham of the Tefft schools and Mr. May of the Kniman schools.
