JASPER CO. EXCEEDS 1932 FARM BUREAU MEMBERSHIP.
Twenty-four counties in the state have already secured more farm bureau members than they had in 1932, according to L. L. Needler, secretary-treasurer, Indiana Farm Bureau, at Indianapolis. The state organization management is gratified at the results being obtained in the membership campaign of the local county and township units, states the farm bureau official. The activities of the Indiana Farm Bureau in securing a redistribution of the tax burden, relieving farm and property owners of a great load, and in securing new farm relief legislation recently at Washington, form a basis on which several counties have gone “over the top” in their membership work this year, and is stimulating many others to near the goal. The following counties have already secured more members than they had in 1932: LaPorte, Steuben, Jasper. Miami, Howard, Fountain, Parke, Putman, Clay, Jackson, Knox, Martin, Orange, Washington Scott, Clark, Floyd, Ohio, Switzerland, Gibson, Dubois, Warrick and Spencer.
