The Delphian club will meet the afternoon of June 7th, at 2 o’clock Children’s day services will be observed at the church June 11th. Encourage your children to render their services unto God. A welcome awaits you at all services. Mrs. Magnuson, of Chicago, is visiting Mrs. Anna Gilbert this week Mr. and Mrs. M. Hilton entertained Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hilton and daughter, Caroline last week end. Little Burel Hilton had a birthday party Sunday, May 28, it being his 6th birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. B. Hilton and daughter, Mrs. Olive DeLong and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Merriman and family. The Boosters second team lost to Lowell Sunday 4 to 2. The Knights of the Flying Cockfeathers held their first weekly practice Saturday night. Robin
Hood has adopted the following archery uniform: blue velvet breeches, red jackets, green caps, With a white plume. Little John had high score. I The boosters go to Momence Wednesday night to cross bats with the strong Buick team of that city. It will be the Boosters first attempt under flood lights. Dance to the tune of Doc Dietel's Orchestra at Shelby, Saturday night. Good eats and refreshments of all kinds. Mr. and Mrs. Larson Clark, of Morocco, visited Mrs. Thos. Spittier Sunday. While Norma Jean Granger was swimming Sunday she became strangled and went down twice. Skiff Cyphers went to her rescue but Norma was too much for him. Mr. Granger then went in, clothes and all and pulled her out.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Bonstra and daughter and father and mother attended the Christian Business Men’s Committee meeting at Cedar Lake Tuesday. Mrs. Emma O'Donnell and baby are visiting her mother, Mrs. Chas. Genard. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Stroble and son, Charles, were visitors over Decoration day at the home of Anna Gibhart. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lanbert, Misses Alice and Clara Lambert were visitors at the home of Anna Gibhart over the week end. Joseph. Hickey, of Chicago, is visiting at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ed. Benson. Betty Waddit and family, of Thornton, Ill., was a Sunday caller at the home of Ed. Benson and wife. George Fry, of Hammond, is visiting his father, John Fry and other relatives here. Carroll Boswinkle is out again after being in five weeks with a broken leg. Mr. and Mrs. Olsen and family, of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Boosman, of DeMotte, were guests of F. Kleinpaste and wife Sunday.
