Jasper Co. Election Boards Selected
TO SERVE IN THE TWENTY-FOUR PRECINCTS AT REPEAL ELECTION, JUNE 6. The county board of election commissioners, composed of Clerk Sam Roth and Atty. John Hopkins, Republicans, and F. E. Babcock, Democrat, met in the county clerkâs office Saturday morning and selected the election boards of the twen-ty-four precincts of the county. The boards were recommended by the county chairmen of the two political parties. Since the Democratic party gave the highest total vote for the secretary of state at the last general election, the Democrats were privileged to name the inspector except where the trustee living in the precinct is a Republican. One clerk is a Democrat and one a Republican. Following is the list: East Barkley: Inspector, William Hoeferlin (D); clerks, Edward Peregrine (D) and George Clark (R).
