MRS. CHAS. HOLLE

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. May of DeMotte were callers here Friday. Richard McColly of Hobart is visiting with his grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie Cooper. Helen Armstrong is on the sick list. Mrs. Wm. Holle of North Manchester, Ind., is spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Holle and family. Nell Williams of Hammond spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Jane O’Connor. Callers in the J. F. Pettet home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Dewey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pettet and family of East Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Gail Michael and family of Rensselaer. Miss Martha Oosten, a nurse in the Cook County hospital in Chicago, visited Monday with Helen Holle. We are very glad to say that Mrs. Wm. Middelkamp is able to be out again, after her severe illness. Mrs. Ira Huntington who has been seriously ill with “Intestional Flu” at the Jasper County Hospital, is improving. Maude Armstrong and son, Neal, and Juanita Hansen spent Decoration Day with C. H. Armstrong. Neal remained for an indefinite visit with his grandfather. Mrs. Wm. Meyers of Wheatfield called on Mrs. Charles Holle Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis of Brook visited relatives here Decoration Day. Emma Amburn returned home Tuesday from Elwood where she has been receiving treatments for a tumor. Word was received Friday that the Kennemer family had reached their new home in Springfield, Missouri on Sunday, but we are sorry to say on the following Monday their youngest daughter, Martha was injured. She was run over by a delivery boy’s truck. Martha is being cared for by a child specialist in a hospital in Burge, Missouri. We all wish her a speedy recovery. Charles Holle and daughters, Pearl and Claire, attended the Memorial services at North Manchester, Tuesday. They were accopanied by Mrs. Mattie Holle.
