Ollie Hart of Hessville called on Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Rice Monday. Harry and Wallace Alexander of Crown Point visited relatives here Wednesday afternoon. William Claussen of Chicago is assisting his brother Louis Claussen with his farm work. Mrs. Harriett Crowder was taken to Dr. Bucher at Wheatfield Thursday afternoon, for medical attention. She is suffering with lumbago. Mrs. Mary Price is on the sick list this week. Clarence Lilly is staying with his sister Mrs. Daniel Odle.
Frank Meyers of East Walker visited with his mother, Mrs. Hannah Meyers, Monday. Zada Ellen, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Twibell is on the sick list. The little Miss is suffering with a severe cold. Maude Armstrong and son, Neal, and Juanita Hansen, of Hammond spent the week end with home folks. The farmers here are busy sowing oats. Some have been delayed due to the ground being so wet. Mrs. Ausben Marshall who recently underwent a major operation at the Jasper County hospital is now at her home, and able to be up and around again. Edward Gifford is making preparations for a dance to be held in the Armstrong hall on Saturday evening, April 15th. The dance will be for the benefit of the Kniman baseball team. Ed will appreciate your support. Kenneth Hunter of DeMotte was a Sunday visitor at your correspondent’s home.
