Miss Virginia Hilliard and mother attended the Junior play given at Tefft. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Meyers and “Pet” Stabaum, Joe and Elizabeth McFarland and Earl Stalbaum also enjoyed the play. Mrs. Henry Farrell and daughters Lottie and Mrs. Gifford were business visitors in town Saturday. M. F. Pruett and Joe McFarland were Rensselaer callers Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. C. Henrichs and son were in town Saturday. Floyd Kettering and Gus Boorman called on Joe McFarland Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hilliard and family spent the week end at

Dwight, Ill., with Mr. and Mrs. Warren White. Mrs. Ross Ropp is reported to be getting along nicely since her operation. Mrs. Geo. Grube entertained the Country Club Thursday. Floyd Clark entertained Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Clark, Elmer Clark and Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson and family at a birthday dinner Sunday. Mrs. Alva Jay entertained the Sew Club Thursday. Earl Stalbaum attended a party in East Walker last Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Blue entertained the following guests and relatives last Sunday: Miles Devine of Chicago, Miss Mary Blue of Gary, Mr. and Mrs. P. Blue, Mr. and Mrs, J. Hankens and family of Rensselaer and Mr. and Mrs. Art Blue. Mrs. Irene Meyers and Anna Beheles attended the P. H. E. meeting last Thursday in Rensselaer.

Mrs. Anna Karch has returned to her home for the summer season. Fred Lamphier of Kniman is working for Jack Lilley. Louis Misch and Earl Stalbaum were Gary business visitors last Wednesday. Mrs. Pruett and daughter Elizabeth McFarland were on the sick list last week. Miss Virginia Engle had a birthday the 24th. She told us she was thirteen. Congratulations. The Seniors are very proud of their new rings they received recently. Better subscribe for the Post and get all the news! I am in town on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There was a Farm Bureau meeting held in the River School House last Thursday night. Officers were elected and a social time was enjoyed. We understand these meetings are scheduled for the last Thursday in each month.

Miss Mildred Stalbaum is visiting her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Meyers. Mr. and Mrs. S. Engle entertained relatives for dinner last Sunday. Miss Delores Wyncoop is suffering with a very painful eye. There was a wood buzzing at Louis Misch’s last Thursday afternoon. Assessor Hines was a Rensselaer caller Saturday. Trustee Jones called at Wm. Todds last Thursday. Next Tuesday night, April 4th is the community meeting at Kniman given by Bernice Hanaway. Officers elected by the Wheatfield Township Farm Bureau are: Geo. Longwell, pres.; Alfred Murray, vice-pres.; and Charles Dutlinger, sec.-treas. The meting was held at the River School house, with music in charge of Nellie Delehanty. Six new members in Wheatfield township were secured by Fred McGlinn.
