TEFFT SCHOOL NOTES

The Junior class play “The Redheaded Step Child” was presented before an enthusiastic audience in the high school auditorium last Tuesday evening. All present were well satisfied with the play and the players. The Juniors are now planning their reception to the Seniors. They have chosen blue and silver as their class colors. The members of U. S. Government class are writing essays of about 1000 words in length on money as a medium of exchange giving its history from the early barter system to the present time. We hope some one will tell us how to make it go farther and last longer. The Seniors are busy on their class day exercises which will be given on the last day of school. Our annual commencement exercises will be held Thursday, April 20 and Baccalaureate address on the Sunday previous, April 16. However school will not be out till about the middle of the following week. Mary Tigler entered our school from Medaryville last Wednesday morning, March 22nd. There are now three girls and four boys in the class. Eileen Ahlemeier, Lillian Anderson, Mary Katherine Glazebrook and Anthony Hohner gave interesting discussions on contagious diseases last week. Next week some members of the high school will discuss the history of our flag. We are planning to make this discussion a partiotic occasion with appropriate songs and readings. The public is always invited to attend these discussions held weekly on Friday morning from 10 to 10:45. Those making honor spelling grades in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades are: Thelma Schultz, Buddy Duggleby, Margaret F., Bobby Stalbaum, Elene H., Pearl Anderson and Valeida Neier. Restaurant and hotel proprietors are looking forward to the opening of the spring driving season when Sunday tourists flock to the countryside for a bit of sunshine and a good chicken dinner.
