John Alhmeier has been very ill but is slightly improved at this writing. A party in the form of a shower was given for Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jones March 6th. The Pedro Club and several invited guests were present, a delicious lunch was served and everyone reported a fine time. The Wheatfield Seniors are showing their new class rings made by Wm. Jasperson of Gary. Friends of Miss Mae Dahncke will be sorry to hear she is ill of scarlet fever. She was formelry of Walker township, but now resides in Chicago. Mrs. Lawrence Lilly is on the sick list. Miss Louise Deerburg has returned to her work in Gary after visiting home folks for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jeffers of LaCrosse visited Chas. Jasperson and wife last Tuesday. Roy Neier is being employed by Elwood Davis of DeMotte. Friends of the Jaspersons will be pleased to hear Chas. Wm. can walk and expects to come home soon. Mrs. Sexton Alexander of Crown Point, formerly of Walker township, is very ill. Mr. Chas. Jasperson has been sawing wood the past week for
Charles Alberding of San Pierre. Miss Valeida Neier is having some ear trouble and is being treated by a Specialist at Valparaiso. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Neier were calling in these parts Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jasperson had as guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Knapp of Gary and Mrs. Isaic Knapp of Wheatfield. Mr. Isiac Knapp is getting along fine and expects to be home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Keene spent the week end in Whiting. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Nelson are the proud parents of a new son. The True family from DeMotte have moved to the farm vacated by St. Peters. Fred Hines, our Assessor is busy these days. Emma and Herman Burger went to San Pierre Thursday.
