Mrs. Martha Swing spent Sunday with her daughter, Marjorie, in Tefft. Wade Peregrine has been on the sick list the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jeffers spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Mr. and. Mrs. O. L. Hillard in Tefft. John Ahlemeier has not improved very much during the past week and is still under the strict care of his physician. He has been removed from his home and has been taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ahlemeier. The Tefft Epworth League closed its polls for new members Sunday. The team of Miss Sylvia Stalbaum won the contest, with a lead of six members over Victor Neier’s team. Victor’s team must give the party decided upon at the beginning of the drive, to Miss Stalbaum’s team on April 1st. Mr. and Mrs. Don Felker have not as yet returned from Mr. Felker’s father’s farm in Pulaski County, where he is helping his father. Rachel Nelson returned to school Wednesday, after being absent for more than a week. Those winning prizes at the Tefft Card Club, which was held at Mr. and Mrs. John Ladds were: Men, 1st, Pat Deerberg; 2nd, Wad Duggleby; 3rd, John Ladd and the Ladies: 1st. Mrs. Jones: 2nd, Mrs. Collins; 3rd, Mrs. Davis. A good time was had by all.
