LET'S SWAP IDEA ADOPTED BY POST
SWAP YOUR PRODUCE FOR A SUBSCRIPTION TO THE POST. The publisher of the Kankakee Valley Post has started a subscription getting campaign, using the “Let’s Swap” idea in order to accommodate subscribers who find themselves short of cash. This week solicitors have been out canvassing for subscriptions and have been meeting with much success. The following names have been added to the list, some of them paying in cash, others in produce: Gerald Fehlman, Mrs. A. Svorancik, Geo. Curtis, W. J. Nichols, Crist Peterson, Frank Phebus, Mrs. James Moscato, Arthur Gilman, A. E. Smith, Arthur Burk, Silas Latta, Garrett DeFries, John Bunch, Mrs. S. Groet, Peter Nannenga. The following items will be accepted by the publisher or representatives of the Post, and anyone having produce who wishes to “swap” should get in touch with your correspondent at once. The correspondent will notify the publisher and we will send a representative to “swap”. Liberal allowances will be made. If you have any of the following (perhaps other articles see us: chickens, eggs, honey, apples potatoes, popcorn, nuts, canned fruit and vegetables, turkeys, lard, geese, beans, or what have you. In addition to this subscribers who pay up are entitled to a free “For Sale” advertisement in the Post. Someone, somewhere, has something you want, or someone, somewhere, wants something you have. The people of this community are trading tractors for horses, grain for hay, cattle for corn, wood for incubators, bicycles for baby carriages, potatoes for overcoats and other things too numerous to mention. The Post offers its services FREE to subscribers and to non-subscribers, a very nominal amount is charged. So, if you have anything you want to trade for the Post, see us; then if you are in need of any articles that you might get by trade, you are entitled to our columns to assist you in completing that deal.
