Mr. and Mrs. Jay Pearce had as Sunday guests John M. Pearce and wife of Kokomo. Glen Osburn visited with his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Solomon, Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Solomon and Jimmie motored to near Wheatfield Tuesday for a visit with the C. C. Solomon family, who recently located there. Twenty ladies met at Center school Wednesday for the regular monthly meeting of the Eagle Creek Home Bureau. They report a splendid meeting. The Joe Little family spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Osburn and family. John Amey is still confined to his home with rheumatism. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Osburn had as Sunday dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reed and Edna Jane Mrs. Mary Solomon and Miss Edna Solomon. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shilling and son visited with Mrs. Shillings sister, Mrs. Harvey Taylor and father, Joe Smith in Crown Point Sunday. The Walter Amtsbuechler family enjoyed Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Osburn. C. F. Ellis is making a few improvements on his barn. Relatives of J. Wesley Hyland of Lebanon, Indiana, received word of his death Sunday, March 5th. Funeral services were held on Tuesday. Those attending from here were Mrs. Mary Solomon, John L. Solomon, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Osburn and C. C. Solomon of near Wheatfield. Mrs. Jay Pearce and Mrs. John Johnson spent Friday with Murray Pearce and wife.
