Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Burkeen visited friends and relatives in Gary and Whiting, Sunday. The dance at Andrew Burksholder’s Saturday night was well attended and all report a good time. Arthur Florence and family and Charles Florence and family visited their father, Thomas Florence and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Shide and daughter, Virginia, and Gerald Payne called on Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wells Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fazarri and two children of Gary spent Friday night and Saturday with Wm. and Mrs. C. G. Burkeen. Mr. and Mrs. Sax Geeza and daughter, Lavera, were shoppers in DeMotte Saturday afternoon. Those who spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James Wiseman were Firman Pettit and family, Mrs. Glen Baker and family, Charles Wiseman and family of Hobart, Earl Wiseman and family, Lonnie Wiseman, wife and baby and Mr. and Mrs. Norby of Chicago. Miss Mabel Cover went to South Bend Sunday to visit her sister. Miss Nellie, who is employed in one of the big stores there.
