PIE-THROWING GIVES WAY TO A SUBTLER BRAND OF COMEDY.
The public today demands a much wilder kind of comedy on the screen and the stage than it did ten years ago, according to Eddie Cline, who is known in Hollywood as an authority on comedy entertainment from his experience of the last fifteen years as one of the most successful comedy directors of the screen. Cline recently completed the direction on his second WheelerWoolsey feature, “So this is Africa” a travesty produced by Columbia Studios on the Tarzan pictures. Wheeler and Woolsey head a huge cast that includes Raquel Torres, Henry Armetta and many others. Norman Krasna, author of the successful stage play “Louder Please” wrote the screen play. It is showing March 19, Gayble Theatre, at North Judson.
