DeMOTTE SCHOOL NEWS.

The Seniors are working diligently on their play “The College Hobo” which will be given in the near future. A very interesting group of slides on birds were shown to the general assembly of the high school Tuesday. The Seniors held a class meeting Tuesday afternoon and decided on the kind of diplomas they wanted. They also decided on the “Lily of the Valley” for the class flower and “Forward ever, backward never” for the motto. The Senior class colors and sea green and coral. John Swart has been seen drawing cartoons in honor of Martha DeVries. Due to excessive bashfulness Milton asked a Senior girl to ask the girl for a date for the Junior play. First Room Harry Spurgwn has moved away. Billie Hoffman, Lois Logaveen, John Mok, William Boersma, and Wayne Barker have returned to school after being absent on account of illness. Joie Rapp returned to Syracuse, Ind., with his father Sunday evening.
