“Dead Man" in Prison

Milwaukee, Wis. Philip Stamm, forty, declared legally dead five years ago after he disappeared in 1922, is to serve two years in prison. His wife begged that he be released to “stay with his family,” but the court declared: “You got along without him for 11 years so I guess another two years won’t make much difference.”
