Minnie Tinkham was a DeMotte caller last Thursday. Mr. Harry Neier, and brother attended the sale near DeMotte, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Krug have rented the Murray farm. Mr. and Mrs. Pruett and daughter, Elizabeth spent last Thursday visiting Mr. and Mrs. John Fairclough at DeMotte. Miss Norma Gulbransen of Gary spent Sunday with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Meyers attended a party at Kniman Friday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis, who were just married. Mrs. Davis was formerly Miss Oleada Meyers. Congratulations to them. Mr. J. Delahanty was at Zadoc Tuesday afternoon on business. Mr. L. Claussen has his father and mother as guests for a while. Mr. A. S. Barlow is reported to be very ill at his home. Bob Smith of Purdue spent the week end with his parents. Alma Meyers of Tefft spent last Sunday with Delores Wynkoop. Mrs. E. Hilliard entertained the Sew Club Thursday. Mrs. Wm. Grube entertained the Country Club last Thursday. Earl Stalbaum and Elizabeth McFarland spent Sunday afternoon with Sylvia Stalbaum. They report a nice supper and a good time. Quite a number of young folks attended a square dance near Hebron last Saturday night. Miss Mary Neier of Gary spent the week end with home folks. Grandma Fairclaugh was able to be out at church at the River School house last Sunday, the first time in three months. We were sure glad to have her with us again and she was certainly happy to get out. Paul McFarland returned home from a weeks visit in Gary. He attended the concert of the Mozart trio. Miss Lois Albright will play at the World's Fair in Chicago in the interest of Allied Arts and as a radio star.
