J. J. Mulder made a business trip to Lowell Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Cass Andis is reported ill at this writing. Miss Vivian Robbins will spend the week end with Miss Ruth Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bess and Mrs. John Bess autoed to Kankakee, Ill. Saturday where Mrs. Bess received medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. William Morlocks were Hammond shoppers Saturday. Harold Callander is quite busy caring for two thousand baby chicks. Good luck Harold, those chickens will taste mighty fine this summer. Take it from one who knows. Chas. Dawson of near Enos visited with Mr. and Mrs. William Iliff and family Saturday. The Ladies Aid Society held their annual meeting at the home of Mrs. William Korth, Jr., last Thursday afternoon. There was an excellent attendance and a very pleasant time had by all. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Henry and son, Carlyn, autoed to Rensselaer Saturday. Mrs. James Cox, Sr., spent Monday with Mrs. Harold Callander. Mrs. Fred Baker spent a few days in Momence, Ill., last week where she attended the funeral of a friend Mr. and Mrs. Orval Mattocks of Parr visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mattocks, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kight visited with Mrs. Effie Reinford of Lake Village, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Denver David spent Sunday evening and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mattocks. Marion Cox of Conrad visited with friends and relatives Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Schreiber and daughter of Brunswick, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barkey and daughter of Hammond, and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Long and son of North Judson spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Barkey and family. Mr. J. M. Spurgeon of DeMotte, visited with Mr. and Mrs. William Morlocks Sunday. Rose Lawn was well represented at the dance held in the Enos school house Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Callander of Newland spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Callander and family of here. Harold Davis of Chicago, Ill., spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Iliff and family last week. Clyde Call and Arthur Roadruck spent the week end with friends in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Cunningham of Kentland visited with Charles and Clara Boyle Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Muzzall and daughter, Donna Jean and Janice of Crown Point visited with the Burton family Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. William Beck who has been visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Joe Ferguson, of Rensselaer, Ind., returned to her home Sunday afternoon. Miss Opal Chamberlain, spent the week end with her parents in Chalmers, Ind. Jelta Mulder who had been confined to his home for the past three weeks is able to be in charge of his store.
