Vic Neir, Kenneth Downey and Harold Brown attended the Community meeting at. DeMotte last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Pruett and daughter Elizabeth, Mr. and Mrs. F Corn, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Odle, Wm. Middlekamp of Kniman, Mr. and Mrs. Von Twible, and children and Fred Brown attended the Farm Bureau “whoopee” celebration at Rensselaer last Thursday. The play “Pay Day’ by the Union Township players was good and they had the unique experience of acting before the author, Mr. Foust. Another unusual number and one much applauded was the solos rendered by Mrs. Von Twible on her Lyon & Healy harp. Roy Neier is working for E. Davis at DeMotte at present. Miss May Neier spent Sunday with Roy Neiers at the L. Lilly home, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Neier and son, Donnie visited the sanitarium at Lafayette last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Singleton and son, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kruger of LaCrosse ate dinner Sunday at Lawrence Lilly home. Earl Stalbaum ate supper at Pruetts last Sunday. Paul McFarland is visiting a few days at Gary with relatives and friends. The play “Pay Day” given by the Wheatfield cast under Thelma Grube's efficient training was given at DeMotte Monday night and Tuesday night at Kniman. It was well given and received at both places. Mr. Boor, Mr. and Mrs. Pruett, Mr. and Mrs. H. Henrichs were callers at Frank Corns Monday.
