Miss Donna May Cyphers is ill at her parents home with the flu. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boswinkle were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boswinkle. Stewart Stowell, stepfather of Mrs. Rose Fuller, of Thayer, who passed away Saturday. January 21st was buried at 10:30 Tuesday at the Lowell cemetery. Robert Jensen of Thayer had some dental work done at Lowell Monday, John Crosariol and family spent Sunday with his father, east of Thayer. Mr. and Mrs. David and family and party attended the theatre at Lowell. Tom Spitler, Paul Cyphers and Skipp Cyphers were visitors in Lowell Sunday evening. Charles Zimmer is again able to be up and around. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Stump and family spent Sunday with Mick Wiseman at Enos Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Lowe and family are visiting with her mother, Mrs. A. W. Schultz of Thayer. Mrs. Stella DeFries and Mrs. Edith Spitler motored to Roselawn Communiijty meeting Friday night. They used the bus. The Thayer school now boasts a twin shower bath system for the benefit of the school children. Thayer is seriously considering starting a bachelor’s club having headquarters at Ott’s station. Mrs. Emma O’Donnell of East Chicago is spending the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Granger of Thayer. The Westminster Guild of the Presbyterian church met January 18th at the home of Miss Mellon. There were twelve present and a very pleasant and profitable evening was enjoyed by all. The next meeting will be held February 1st. The young people of the church will have full charge of the services on the evenng of January 29th. Come and encourage them as they train for leadership. Mrs. Bovie is quite ill at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Franke entertained out of state relatives and friends Sunday. George Scott has taken over the com picking job west of Thayer. Teams and pickers are wanted, we are told. Johnny Doyle has mixed or dry wood for sale. $1.50 a rank deliver-ed.--Adv.
