Kankakee Valley Post, Volume 2, Number 27, DeMotte, Jasper County, 26 January 1933 — THE HOME BEYOND. [ARTICLE]
THE HOME BEYOND.
There’s a story of love in that wonderful Book, There’s a beautiful life giving stream, That flowed from that throne. In the beautiful home Seen only in vision or dream; With its beauties untold, And its streets of pure gold, But only by faith can we see Oer the billow’s dark crest The Haven of rest That lies beyond life’s troubled sea. We love to think of the mansions above, In that glorious eden of light, Of the jasper walls and gates of pearl, In that city that has no night; But little we know of the home beyond, And dim are the visions we see, For the shining strand Of the glory land Is hidden from you and me. Though dimly we see by the eye of faith, Yet dear are those visions so fond, If things unseen, the beautiful gleams, Of the wondrous great beyond; But ear hath not heard, nor hath eye seen Nor hath entered the heart of man The wonders untold of the city of gold In that far away Heavenly Land.
