Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam May motored to Rensselaer Sunday to spent the day with Mr. and Mrs Ray Heurthner. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Fase and daughter, Phyllis are payjng an indefinite visit with home folks. Mrs. Hiriam Crawford entertained the bunco club last Thursday evening. Mrs. Jay Buchanan and Miss Dorothy Summers motored to Chicago last Wednesday. Misses Blanche Sigler, Helen Huizinga, Harold Sigler and Harold Struble motored to the tourney at Rensselaer Friday. Harold Struble visited with the Dentist Sutherland. Miss Evelyn Merritt and Maurice Cheever and Richard Huizinga motored to Chicago Sunday and brought Tena Topper back with them. Mr. and Mrs. James Dickey and son, Jimmy spent Sunday in Thayer. Mrs. Lawrence Bauman entertained the bridge club last Thursday evening. The prizes were awarded to Mrs. Otto DeYoung, first Mrs. Wm. May, second; and the consolation prizes to Mrs. Alfred Euart. A dainty lunch ended a very enjoyable and entertaining evening. Miss Dorothy Summers visited old chums at school Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Simon Groet had dinner with Mrs. Ed. Sekema and family. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Dykema of Chicago spent the week end with the Dykema family. Mr. and Mrs. May motored to Rensselaer Monday evening. Frances Hacklebery of Crown Point spent Saturday night with Miss Amy Grunwald and Sunday with her folks. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Frame entertained company from East Chicago Sunday afternoon. Mr. John Akers shipped three hundred head of cattle to Chicago Thursday. Misses Alice Van Murten, Dorothy Summers and gentlemen friends of Chalmers, attended the show at Crown Point Sunay evening. Mr. Segina who is employed in Chicago spent the week end with his family. Mrs. Melvin Struble has been ill with the flu the past two weeks.
