Adleaide Cullen spent Tuesday night with her cousin Marjorie Swing in Tefft. Earl G. Martin, Mgr. Tefft Grain Co., Inc., returned Thursday evening after a short business trip in southern Indiana. He also spent a few days with relatives around Indianapolis. Luther Albon, who returned a few weeks ago from a hosptial in Hammond where a serious operation was performed, is now able to be out of doors. We hope you will have completely recovered real soon. James Mize has been employed the past couple of days unloading a car of coal, which was recently received for the Tefft Grain Co., Inc. Last Wednesday a large group of the ladies of the vicinity of Tefft held a surprise on Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Sands. All who attended had a very good time. Sandwiches were served as refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jeffers spent Sunday evening with Mr. O. L. Hillard. Milford Robbins is well on his way to recover after an accident on Dec. 10, 1932, in which he broke his ankle. Mrs. Wade Peregrine and son, Malcohm were two of the many at the surprise party on Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Sands. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Eckert from north of San Pierre have moved on the Fitzgerald Farm north of Tefft. Welcome to our community folks. Tuesday morning the high school was privileged to view a very interesting group of slides on the “Roman Houses”. An illustrated lecture on Alaska was heard by the intermediate and advanced grades last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Benham and Mr. and Mrs. Meyer attended the basket ball games at Rensselaer Saturday.
